Experience
Director of User Experience & Interface @ Wolters Kluwer Health Dec 2016 – Present
Leading the UX team for Wolters Kluwer Health’s Clinical Effectiveness (CE) organization, where we are designing evidence-based clinical decision support solutions used by healthcare practitioners worldwide to help them make the right decisions at the point of care.
Director of User Experience @ PeopleFluent Dec 2006 – Dec 2016
In late 2006, proposed and justified creation of a user experience team to perform UX design for all PeopleFluent products (web based and mobile). Managed all aspects of the team including staffing, mentoring, planning and resource management. Under my UX leadership, the company’s annual revenue has grown from $25 million to $125 million.
Most recently I led the UX team through the design of PeopleFluent's "Mirror" solutions that utilize video and social collaboration to improve HR processes like Recruiting and Learning. The mirror provides highly engaging targeted experiences for specific roles and business processes (for example, a hiring manager evaluating candidates) and uses responsive design to accommodate different devices.
In 2011-2012 I led the UX team through the design of breakthrough iPad app that creates a highly intuitive and immersive user experience, building emotional connections with managers and executives, who use these mobile apps to help manage their workforce. This app received industry recognition including 2012 Top HR Product of the Year by Human Resource Executive® and Ventana Research 2012 Technology Innovation Winner.
Led the redesign effort for all of PeopleFluent’s talent management applications, using a variety of UX methods including personas, process flow diagrams, wireframes, mockups, and clickable prototypes. My team gathered feedback through a variety of usability inspection methods including heuristic evaluations, usability studies, and surveys. PeopleFluent’s UI and usability is considered one of our biggest competitive strengths as recognized by industry analysts. Here is a quote from Bersin & Associates “With respect to the user experience, we rated PeopleFluent’s new Talent Management solution as ‘leading’ – a rating we reserved for only a few products on the market today”.
Created the PeopleFluent product demos used to win the 2007 and 2008 HR Technology Shootouts.
Director of Engineering @ Authoria Feb 2004 – Dec 2006

Successfully delivered 3 major releases on time with high quality. Gained experience managing offshore teams in Bangalore, India and using Agile development methodologies.
Development Manager @ Authoria Feb 2003 – Feb 2004
Led a team that designed and developed a platform for Authoria’s Manager Advisor application. The product won Human Resource Executive Magazine's “Top HR Product of the Year” award.
UI Team Lead @ Authoria Jan 2001 – Feb 2003
Led a team of designers and front-end engineers in the design and development of the presentation layer for a knowedgebase application to communicate employee benefits and policies information. Responsible for UX design as well as UI development.
Implementation Team Lead @ Kana (formerly Silknet) Dec 1999 – Jan 2001
Led a team of consultants in the implementations of Web-based virtual sales assistants that help guide customers through the on-line purchasing process on e-commerce sites. The software uses a complex set of rules to help recommend products to potential customers based on preferences they supply. Designed and implemented solutions for Proflowers.com and Homecity.com.
Various Roles @ Geac / Dun & Bradstreet Software Sept 1986 – Dec 1999
